Copying a Package Group

An existing Package Group can be copied over to another Stack if necessary. Copying a Package Group can be done while viewing the Package Group’s properties.

Step-By-Step Guide #

1. Open the ‘Package Group Actions’ menu and click ‘Copy’. #

From Properties, open the ‘Package Group Actions’ menu and select the ‘Copy’ option. This will open the ‘Copy Package Group’ window.

2. Enter a new Title for the Package Group copy. #

3. Select what content to copy across. #

Select whether you would like to copy all Packages across, or customise which Packages are copied across.

a) Select ‘Copy Everything’: #

Select ‘Copy Everything’ to copy across all contained Packages along with the Package Group.

b) Select ‘Customise’: #

Select ‘Customise’ to choose which Packages to copy across. From the list of the current associated Packages check the box for any Packages that you wish to copy across.

4. Set the ‘Destination’ for the Package Group. #

Enter a new Destination for the Package Group to be copied to. Select a ‘Destination Workspace’, ‘Destination Stack’, and ‘Destination Cohort’.

5. Select whether to copy associated Questions across. #

Select whether to copy associated Questions across.

Copy Questions: Toggles whether you would like to copy any existing associated Questions and Pools across to the new Destination along with the Package Group. If not enabled, the Package in the Package Group will contain no questions when copied.

Collate Questions into one Pool: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, allows you to toggle whether any associated Questions copied across should be collated together in one Pool.

Smart Copy and Link: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, allows you to toggle whether the Questions that are copied across are restricted to those that do not already exist within the Destination Cohort.

6. Click ‘Copy Package Group’. #

Click the ‘Copy Package Group’ button in order to finalise copying the Package Group across to the selected Destination.
