An existing Package can be moved from one Package Group to another if necessary, even across Workspaces. Moving a Package can be done via the Package Editor. Any Questions associated with the Package can also be copied across to the new location.
Step-By-Step Guide #
1. Open the ‘Package Actions’ menu, and click ‘Move’. #
From the Package Editor, open the ‘Package Actions’ menu and select the option to ‘Move’. This will open the ‘Move Package’ window.
2. Set the ‘Destination’. #
Set the new Destination for the Package to be moved. Select a ‘Destination Workspace’, ‘Destination Stack’, ‘Destination Cohort’, and ‘Destination Package Group’.
3. Select whether to Copy Questions across. #
Any Questions that are contained within the Package can also be copied across if necessary.
Copy Questions: Allows you to toggle whether any Questions contained within the Package are also copied across with the Package into the new Destination.
Collate Questions in to one Pool: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, allows you to toggle whether Questions that are copied across with the Package are collated together into a single Pool when the Package is brought across.
Smart Copy and Link: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, allows you to toggle whether only unique questions that do not already exist in the Destination Cohort are copied across.
4. Click ‘Move Package’. #
Click the ‘Move Package’ button to finalise moving the package.
