Copying a Package

You can Copy an existing Package from a Package Group to another destination. The Package can be copied to any other Package Group, including into a different Workspace within the Organisation. You can copy a Package via the Package Editor.

Step-By-Step Guide #

1. Open the ‘Package Actions’ menu and click ‘Copy’. #

Select the required Workspace > Stack > Cohort > Package Group > Package. From the Package Editor, open the ‘Package Actions’ menu and select ‘Copy’ to open the ‘Copy Package’ window.

2. Enter a new Title for the copy of the Package. #

Enter a new Title for the copy of the Package. By default, the copy will use the existing title with “copy” inserted on the end.

3. Set the Destination. #

Select the ‘Destination Workspace’, ‘Destination Stack’, Destination Cohort’, and ‘Destination Package Group’ to copy the Package to.

4. Select whether or not to Copy Questions #

Copy Questions: Toggles whether copies of associated Questions are brought across with the Package.

Collate Questions in to one Pool: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, allows you to toggle whether the copied Questions will be collated into one Pool when copied across.

Smart Copy and Link: If ‘Copy Questions’ is enabled, toggles whether only unique questions that aren’t already existing in the set ‘Destination’ are copied across.

5. Click ‘Copy Package’. #

Click the ‘Copy Package’ button to finalise copying the Package to the set Destination. Note that no responses (if any) to the Questions in the Package will be copied.
