What is Stackle?

Introduction to Stackle #

Stackle is an innovative and powerful educational platform designed to facilitate the creation, organization, and management of engaging interactions in various learning environments. It allows educators, trainers, and content creators to build custom course interactives, assessments, and learning experiences tailored to their specific needs, objectives, and target audience. With an extensive range of features and capabilities, Stackle aims to revolutionize the way educational content is structured, delivered, and consumed.

Key Features and Components #

Stacks #

Stacks are the foundation of the Stackle platform, serving as a container for a single purpose or need, such as a course, a training program, or a professional development module. Stacks can be used in a variety of contexts and settings, making them highly versatile and adaptable to various educational and training requirements.

Cohorts #

Cohorts are a powerful way to segment Stacks into smaller sections or groups, enabling the creation of different versions, offerings, or formats of a course. This feature allows for efficient management and customization of course content to meet the specific needs of diverse student populations and platforms. Cohorts can be used to target specific learning styles, create distinct question sets for different student types, and develop various course versions for deployment on multiple platforms.

Workspaces #

Workspaces provide an organizational layer within the Stackle platform, helping compartmentalize Stacks by creating dedicated spaces for various teams, groups, or projects. Workspaces can be used to group Stacks by departments, schools, projects, professional learning hubs, centers, or any other logical division within an organization. This feature streamlines collaboration and content management across various stakeholders and teams. Stackle is organisation ready.

Package Groups and Packages #

Package Groups are containers that hold Packages, which are deployable units of content. Package Groups and Packages can be used to create and organize various types of content, including assessments, learning journals, knowledge check-ins, reflective activities, flipped classroom materials, and more. These can be customized to target specific learning outcomes and can be combined in various ways to support different learning styles and objectives. Packages inherit their parent Package Group’s use case by default, but this can be overridden in the Package Editor.

Pathways #

Pathways serve as a unique interface for participants to explore and engage with Packages. They provide an alternative way of presenting content, enabling users to interact with course materials in a more direct and meaningful manner. Pathways can be used to present summaries of single or multiple Package Groups, provide a gamified experience, show progress, and encourage participation. They also offer authors the ability to surface discrete packages scattered throughout their content in a convenient place.
